Fuji X-Pro1 body listed in Japan for ¥135000 | Photo Rumors

When I asked them yesterday via their online chat if the price is correct they told me that this the price for which I can pre-order it. When I told him that Fuji hasn’t publicly released final price yet and if they would refund me they told me that they doubt that the price will be different. So shit, looks like final price. A bit more than I expected but still less than new FF SLR.

But I will definitely wait for real world reviews/reports. Funny how everybody is avoiding answers on questions related to feel of the MF on these new lenses. The only good answer I received is from the author of the Romanian preview of X-Pro1 who replied to me saying that on the 18mm lens to re-focus from 1m to 5m it takes 1 spin and a bit.

Can someone name the differences between a digital ... - SLR Capital

First lets start with the term SLR. SLR initials stands for Single Lens Reflex. A SLR camera is a camera where you view through the actual taking lens. The term also indicates that the SLR camera accepts interchangeable lenses. As SLR film cameras died out and SLR digital cameras came to be known as Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras, or DSLR. So how is the viewing on a camera like the Fujifilm Finepix 2800 HD camera different than a DSLR. Well if you think TWO electronic viewfinders, one for the “LCD” on the back of the cameras and one for the viewfinder you have the answer. So this answers the comment that the 2800HD is like a DSLR in that it has the shape of a DSLR but in fact the 2800HD IS NOT a DSLR camera.

10 Gadgets We Want to Steal Before Leaving CES

27.01.12

CES is a four-day assault of non-stop sensory overload. Mile-long taxi lines. Ear-splitting Gaga and Beyonce pumping from every booth. Legions of disheveled businessmen thrusting marketing collateral and contagion at anyone naive enough to take the bait.

In other words, it can be a dehumanizing grind. But it's also our favorite place for window shopping. We descend on demo booths to mentally earmark the gear we'll be calling in for testing the moment we're home.

Would we really steal this stuff directly from the show floor? Well, that's a moral conundrum each of us must resolve. We don't think even Erik Malinowski, so full of sports-guy brawn, could muscle away the LG fridge you see above. And we're still trying to figure out how to get the Tesla Model S out of Nvidia's booth. Nonetheless, "Don't ask, don't tell" has been our mantra for CES 2012, so here are some of the things vendors may want to make sure they've still got before packing up.
